Individual, private offices

I've just read Joel's latest blog, "Private Offices Redux". Basically his comments are always enlighting for those who work in this field, I guess. This is also worthy of taking a look at, especially for programmers. In this article, He wrote something about MS's new office arrangement, based on his summer interns´` experience. The bottom line is that every programmer has to have his own individual private office for productivity. Thinking back on my experience, it is definately correct. He quoted a nice phrase for expressing the state of programmers concentrating, which is "in the loop". I saw another expression on Paul Graham's blog, which is "in the zone". Although I am not sure if lots of programers agree with his opinion, at least I want my own room, because, at home, my son always interrupts me facing the laptop;).
